Tiny Animals That Are So Adorable They Will Make You Squeal 1 Wake up! I’m not done being mad at you. What could be cuter than a rabbit that can’t seem to shake the blues? We see in the picture a typical rabbit in his litter. At one point he is upright and the next moment he props himself to sleep. The picture is so funny that I laughed my head off. Animals are such natural comics that whatever they do that seems to mimic human behavior tend to tickle our funny bone. Reminds me of Bugs Bunny being funny in the cartoons. Can somebody give this rabbit a carrot so he can go on with his day? Thank you. 2 Hnnnnnnnnng There are dozens of pictures of adorable pet dogs out there but few can ever match the cuteness of a bulldog much less a puppy bulldog at that trying to stand up. What we see here is a puppy bulldog that seems to be trying to balance himself. He is leaning against the wall for support. What makes this cute is the effort these animals make in order to better themselves and be independent. Quite a huge effort for this adorable canine. He is so adorable that you cannot wait to take him home and cuddle him all day, every day. 3 Ughhhhhh. I can’t take it anymore. What could much cuter than a group of birds huddled together and keeping it each other warm from the freezing cold? I’d bet you would have trouble trying to match the cuteness level on this picture. In here, we see a group of 8 birds perched on a snowy branch in the dead of winter. They are bundled together sharing each other’s body heat, trying to make it until the warmth of spring arrives. It is quite a nice picture which denotes the ability of animals to share and care for one another’s wellbeing. Truly a very nice picture indeed. 4 Leave me alone. I know you heard me! Yet again another picture of a tiny animal that is oh so adorable that you would really want them as a pet. We see here what looks like a small dog with really, really big ears. She seems to be perched on someone’s hand but it is a bit fuzzy on that part. The look on its face is one of wonder and surprise. A sharp contrast to the caption that seems to say that the animal wants to be left alone by itself. One of the cutest pictures on the series that I have seen so far and there are many of them. 5 The hat?! I know you’re doing this on purpose. This is another cute image of tiny animals that look so adorable that they just make you swoon. In this picture we see an owl sitting on a person’s hands. What seems significant about the picture is the fact that it is wearing some form of winter head gear bonnet. Add to that the wide eyed look of the owl and you got the perfect picture of adorableness. This picture is so cute and the owl’s expression is really nice you would want to adopt it as your own pet. The owl on the picture is still a youngling which contributes to its inherent appeal. 6 You think this is a game? In this image we see what seems to be a rabbit taking a bubble bath in a sink. The caption says, “You think this is a game?” and is probably alluding to the way the rabbit is enjoying the whole scene. One can clearly see the hands of the owner holding on to the palms of the rabbit and it looks like she is holding him up so she could bathe him better. Once can see the shampoo right beside the sink. The black rabbit does not look scared at all. This is a good image for a greeting card. 7 Get back in the water! Now. Caption on the picture reads, “Get back in the water! Now.” It seems to be pointing to a baby seal that is resting underneath what seems to be a fallen tree or some other wood like material. The baby seal shown in the picture is so adorable and is looking at the camera with its puppy-dog eyes saying, “Adopt me, and adopt me.” If you are looking for an aquatic creature to call your pet then this baby seal should definitely be on your short-list. Make sure you have a big enough pool to accommodate its needs and lots of fish as treats. 8 Oh God. Don’t give me those eyes. Among the many pets that we humans have, cats are probably one of the cutest. If you are not a dog person, then you are probably a cat person. Cats can be very adorable creatures especially kittens. They have a way of getting into our skin and really, really look oh so cute and cuddly like the one shown in the picture. We see a kitten perched comfortably inside the jacket of her owner looking outside. Such a cute creature and very lovable at that. Maybe that is the beauty of cats; they tend to find a way into our hearts. 9 Are you even a Chinchilla? I do not know if a rat can be an adorable creature but the one posted on the picture seems to be one at that. We see a picture of a rat like animal perched on a windowsill and somehow seem looking outside the window for something, maybe food. The caption reads, “Are you even a Chinchilla?” seem to be questioning the very nature of the creature. For many people this animal may be so adorable with its soft fur and very long whiskers. This is one creature that little boys may want to have as their pet. Truly, unique and probably rare too. 10 You are crushing my soul. Don’t you even care?! We have here another tiny animal that is just so adorable that you will scream your heart out once you see it. We have here a small white dog of unknown breed. She is immaculately white and is sitting on a cream-colored sofa staring directly to the lens of the photographer as if posing for a shot. She is so soft and cuddly that you could mistake her for a stuff toy. This is one such pet that little girls would definitely love. One’s heart cannot stop melting at the sight of such a cute pet. Truly an adorable creature. 11 Get that stinkin’ smirk off your face. What can be cuter than a pig? Well, a piglet that is. Here is an image of one very cute piglet. She seems to have a smirk on his face that can mean a million things to anyone. The piglet seems to be resting on a bed of what seems to be towels and there is a blue ball, most likely her toy in the foreground. She has some black spots all over her body including her face and ears. Animal expressions tend to mimic a lot of human ones only that they normally do not coincide with what we think and therefore can lead to a lot of humorous situations. 12 I didn’t even know skunks could make me this mad. Skunks are mammals and are renowned for their capability to emanate a liquid having strong odour. Hence, the name of the creature is synonymous with “stench” and it is also called the “stinking spotted weasel”. They vary in appearance depending on their species and are brown, cream, or black-and-white coloured. Their body is moderately elongated with well-muscled, short legs and lengthy front claws to help in digging. They are omnivorous and eat both animals and plants. They eat larvae and insects, earthworms, small rodents, grubs, lizards, salamanders, snakes, birds, frogs, eggs, moles, berries, leaves, and roots. Skunks alter their dietary habits on a seasonal basis. 13 You can’t see it, but I’m walking out the door. A platypus is a native of eastern Australia. They reside in freshwater lakes or rivers, and make burrows for protection and shelter. They are mainly active at night times. They swim beneath water for some minutes, and return to the surface again for oxygen. However, they are able to remain below water for nearly 10 minutes and utilize their webbed feet to swim. Platypus feeds on worms, freshwater insects, or insect larvae and use of their bills to feed. They retain their food in unique pouch behind their bills, and eat it when they come back to the surface of water. 14 For the last time – I will not nap with you! Puppies are born after around 63 days of gestation period. They develop very fast during the initial three months of their life, especially once their ears and eyes open. At this stage, they do not have to completely depend on their mothers. Their strength and coordination improves, they mingle with other litter-mates, and also start exploring the world beyond their kennels. They engage in wrestling, dominance, tug-of-war, and chase games. Puppies are extremely social creatures and majority of their time is spent interacting with their littermates or mother. Puppies also develop social skills near humans, when they are left to socialize with humans around eight to twelve weeks of age. 15 Quit playing games with my heart. Puppies are a sight to behold as they resemble a mass of fur. Certain puppies weigh 1–3 lb; whereas others can weigh as much as 15–23 lb. Puppies spend most of their time feeding and sleeping and instinctively pile up in a heap. Puppies develop fast after birth. Though born with fully sharp sense of smell, they cannot open their eyes and their ears are sealed till seventeen to thirteen days since birth. Puppies start opening their eyes after eleven to nine days from birth. Their coat colour may vary as they grow older and this is more pronounced in certain breeds like Yorkshire Terrier. 16 Don’t give me that face! Yes – that’s the one. The sugar glider is a tiny, arboreal, nocturnal, and omnivorous gliding creature and belongs to marsupial infraclass. They happen to be arboreal and spend a majority of their lifetime on trees. It gets its name due to its preference for nectarous, sugary foods and its capability to glide in the air. They are seen in all forests where an adequate supply of food is present, but most often seen in forests having eucalyptus plantation. This nocturnal creature sleeps during day and is active during night. It is a native of northern and eastern mainland Australia, and was later introduced in Tasmania and various islands within the region. 17 That’s a turtle, not a pillow. Turtles are reptiles belonging to the family of Testudines or Chelonii and are characterised by having a special cartilaginous or bony shell that act as a shield. Turtles can be counted amongst the oldest reptile families and are older than lizard, snake or crocodile families. Though, turtles inhabit in and around water, they do not lay their eggs underwater, but only on land. They also have exceptionally good night vision because of unusually huge amount of rod cells within their retinas. They have coloured vision with cone subtypes having sensitivities in the range from the red to ultraviolet (UV A). 18 Go back to whatever warm and cuddly place you came from. They have a long fur coat, with a thick inner coat which offers them sufficient warmth when outdoors, and an outer coat which repels water. They possess an innate love for water, and are love to play outdoors. They are easily trainable to obey advanced commands. Its intelligence lets it full fill an array of roles such as a guide dog for blind, hunting dog, hearing dog for deaf, participating in search and rescue operations, and as a detection dog. 19 What is a Loris? They are seen in Northeast India and Bangladesh in the west to Philippines in the east, and are seen in Yunnan region of China in the north up to the Java Island in the south. There are at least eight species of Loris. Loris has a round head, large eyes, narrow snout, and a array of distinct coloration patterns which varies from one species to another. Their legs and arms are almost of the same length, and their trunk is lengthy. Their legs and arms have many several adaptations which allow them to hold onto branches for longer time frames. 20 I see nothing but stuffed animals. Boo, is described as “The World’s Cutest Dog” and an Internet sensation. He is a famous for his small haircut and is a Pomeranian. Boo’s owner is a Facebook employee based in San Francisco. He created Boo’s Facebook page saying “My name is Boo. I am a dog. Life is good.” Since then, as of April 2014, Boo has over 12 million likes. He was named the Official Pet Liaison and is a “spokes dog” for Virgin America airlines. It features photos of Boo in an airplane advising individuals travelling with pets. He is also the subject material for two photo books. 21 Why are you at my doorstep? I said we’re through! Seals are widespread, however we can find majority of the species residing in the cold waters of the Arctic or Antarctic regions. They spend a most of their time in water and have found a mention in different cultures worldwide. They are also reared in captivity and can sometimes even be trained to do tasks and tricks. They spend lot of their time interacting and playing with the other available kittens. Kittens develop fast from around two weeks of age till they reach seventh week. Their strength and coordination improves, they play and fight with other litter-mates, begin exploring the outside world other than their den or nest. They begin to wash themselves as well as begin playing stalking and hunting games, displaying their innate talent as predators. 24 Get back in that bucket. Right now, mister. The photo shows a baby sloth. Sloth is a medium-sized mammal belonging to the family of Megalonychidae and Bradypodidae and is classified to six species. They are inhabitants of the South and Central American jungles and are reputed as being slow-movers, and therefore called “sloths”. They are incapable of surviving in any other environment other than the tropical rainforest of Central and South America. Sloths can be termed as folivores since a majority of their diet consists of buds, leaves, and tender shoots primarily of the Cecropia trees. As leaves give very little energy, sloth deals with this through a variety of measures such as having extremely low metabolic rates. 25 Are you even real? Rabbits are tiny mammals belonging to the family of Leporidae in the Lagomorpha order, and can be found in various regions of the globe. There are roughly eight different varieties of rabbit genera. Rabbits are herbivores and graze on grass, leafy weeds, and forbs. Rabbits inhabit meadows, woods, grasslands, deserts, forests, and wetlands. They reside in groups, live in rabbit holes, or underground burrows. They are crepuscular i.e. highly active at dusk and dawn. Rabbits usually sleep keeping their eyes wide open so that sudden movements can wake them up and warn it about any dangers. The average lifespan of a rabbit is around 9 to 12 years. 26 It’s not even raining. A mouse is a mammal from the rodent family. It has a characteristically long snout, a lengthy hairless, almost naked tail, and small round ears. The most commonly recognised mouse species is the familiar house mouse. It is also reared as a popular pet. The mouse is basically nocturnal creature. However, it does not have good vision and it compensates for their bad vision with its good sense of hearing and smell. It relies on its sense of smell for locating food and avoiding predators. Mouse can build complex burrows to live in. Such burrows typically have lengthy entrances and have escape tunnels or routes. 27 Don’t look at me like that. The panda means “white and black cat-foot”. It is also called giant panda or panda bear. It is a native of China and resides in a few mountain ranges of south central China. The panda is recognized easily by its distinctive, large black patches round its eyes, above the ears, and around its whole body. Though, the panda belongs to carnivorous family, its diet comprises of almost 99% bamboo. Pandas residing in forests occasionally eat wild tubers, other grasses, or even meat of rodents, carrion or birds. When in captivity, they eat honey, eggs, yams, fish, shrub leaves, bananas, or oranges accompanied by specially made food. 28 Do you even have bones? There are several breeds of dogs such as Labrador, Alsatian, amongst others found around the world. Through selective breeding, there are hundreds of different breeds, and dogs display greater morphological and behavioural variation than any land mammal. Hence, each has a distinct physical appearance in terms of its colour, height, features, fur, etc. Each breed also has unique life span, characteristics, traits, etc. Dogs perform several roles for human beings like hunting, herding, protection, pulling loads, military, companionship, assisting police, and, recently, helping handicapped individuals. Hence, their impact on our society has earned them the title of “man’s best friend”.
