This kind of weird and grotesque ritual isn’t exclusive to Victorian era, either. This here is the late Miriam “Mae-Mae” Burbank, who her two daughters claim was always “full of life”. She was so full of life, in fact, that they decided to organize an impromptu photo shoot/wake before actually putting her in the ground.
