On 8th November 2016, Prime Minister Modi addressed the country directly to make a shocking announcement. Everyone was waiting to know about the big change, Modi is about to bring. The government of India brought a massive change in the name of demonetization. The decision was taken instantly and it could be referred as the most spontaneous decision ever taken by any government.

In order to deal with black money, Prime Minister Modi scraped larger note of Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 and brought new notes. It has been a year since the decision was taken. There have not been any big changes as the result of demonetization except the color, size, and texture of the new note. It causes problems for many people and even made savings of millions of people useless. Yesterday, the country celebrated the first anniversary of demonetization. We are wondering if it really brought the big change, the government was promising or it was a total failure. We have compiled 10 pictures, which tell the harsh truth of demonetization.
