However, Russia begs to differ from the rest of globe. In this Asian nation, beer until recently was not regarded as booze at all for its low alcohol content. In fact, it was looked upon as a foodstuff that you could easily pick up off store shelves and guzzle down a few gulps then and there. But in the recent times, the laws concerning beer have been made stricter and the legal age of drinking as 18 years has been imposed on it, albeit loosely.
