The Dettifoss waterfall is one of the most reputed and powerful waterfalls situated in the North east of Iceland, Europe. The waterfall starts with the Jokulsa a Fjollum river that flows through the Vatnajokull glaciers.

The waterfall is graded at a height drop of 45 metres and a width of 100 meters to the Canyon of Jokulsargljufur. The average flow of water here is 193 meter cube per second. The width of the waterfalls offers one of the most jaw dropping views of Dettifoss.
