One can witness the waterfall plunging its first break over the conglomerate and sandstone cliff. This is the world’s largest single drop waterfall ever recorded at 741 feets. The kaieteur falls is about five times taller than the Niagara waterfalls in comparison. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Europe where the wide river of Hvita gushes downwards. The beauty of the waterfall lies on its journey downwards where it turns to its right after a kilometre and falls in a three step staircase. The waterfalls has been titled as the Golden Falls of Iceland. The longest drop recorded here was 21 meters. 2 DETTIFOSS (Jökulsárgljúfur, Iceland) The Dettifoss waterfall is one of the most reputed and powerful waterfalls situated in the North east of Iceland, Europe. The waterfall starts with the Jokulsa a Fjollum river that flows through the Vatnajokull glaciers. The waterfall is graded at a height drop of 45 metres and a width of 100 meters to the Canyon of Jokulsargljufur. The average flow of water here is 193 meter cube per second. The width of the waterfalls offers one of the most jaw dropping views of Dettifoss. 1 SUTHERLAND FALLS (Fiordland, New Zealand) The Southerland Falls in Fiordland, near Milford Sound is the tallest waterfall in New Zealand between the Lake Quill and Arthur view. The water falls on the bed rocks in three different cascades spectacularly with the uppermost as 229 metre tall, the medium at 248 metre tall and the lowest one at 103 metres. The horizontal distance of the waterfall is 480 metres with a mean grade of 56 degrees approximately. The most remarkable views of this waterfall can be seen during a helicopter flight in the cold winters. The lake Quill which is behind the waterfall is at its best frame with snow-capped mountains.
