Apart from Many Mistakes In Mohenjo Daro, It Looks Like They Have Even Screwed Up with The Title

The latest released ‘Mohenjo Daro‘ Trailer, seems like have attracted the negative limelight from all the sections of society. The whole trailer is pretty long and even look likes very sketchy. At latest, we even got to know that, the makers have even screwed up with the title of the film.

Since the release of Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Mohenjo Daro’ trailer, it has received lot of flaks from the people for misrepresentation of one of the oldest civilization of India. At the first people have pointed the fact that, during those time there were dark skinned people, but in the trailer the fair skin people has been showed.

Even the dressing style of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ Civilization was very different from what has been showed in the trailer. The lead actress Pooja Hegde’s depiction in the trailer were also showed inaccurately. As per the excavated things from the oldest civilization, it is clear that female figurines, were also made from beads and the women mostly were bangles in their left hand.

This is not all there were many mistakes in the trailer which has been pointed out by the Twitterati’s:

People have also raised the question on the title of the movie, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ as no one knows the exact name of the city back then. It was almost 100 years back that this oldest city was discovered and the site has been then named as ‘Mohenjo Daro’.

In Gowariker’s trailer, we see characters referring to the city as ‘Mohenjo Daro’, and that brings us to this other theory which puts a question mark on the name of the civilization back then. As per the Sindhi, the meaning of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is ‘Mound of the dead men‘, but in the movie the city has been glorified very positively.

According to the most popular theories, the city must be named as ‘Kukkutarma‘, and it was only in 1920 the new name ‘Mohenjo Daro’ has been officially given to it.

So the Director Ashutosh Gowariker must be ready to face the burden of such mistakes. In the wake of cinematic liberties, he has actually depicted few things in a wrong way. It would be interesting to see, what the director has to say about all these mistakes!
