A Publication Called Priyanka A Scam Artist, Apologized After Receiving Huge Backlash
Troll and social media go hand-in-hand. We have seen countless incidents of celebrities getting trolled for multiple reasons. People criticize these things openly. However, no one would have even imagined that a renowned media house would write something inappropriate about a celebrity. A recent article about Priyanka Chopra and her relationship with Nick Jonas has shaken the world.
The media house we are talking about is named The Cut. A day after wedding pictures of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas released on the internet, this media house wrote a judgmental piece on NickYankaâs relationship.
The article was plain rude and inappropriate in every sense. The author even called Priyanka a âglobal scam artistâ who tricked Nick Jonas into a relationship. The entire article was written based on her personal assumptions and speculations about their relationship. In simple word, the article was mean.
As soon as the article made it to the web, people from every corner started talking about it. Priyanka soon received huge support from her friends from industry and family, even family members of Nick Jonas slammed the author calling her article garbage.
Sonam Kapoor slammed the publication and wrote,
âFor a publication that âshows womenâs what they are made ofâ @TheCut has a lot to answer for . The article on @priyankachopra was sexist, racist and disgusting. Also itâs written by a woman which is so sad. It reeks of envy and bitterness. @mRiah shame on you!â
Nick Jonasâs brother Joe Jonas also called out the author and tweeted,
âThis is disgusting. @TheCut should be ashamed to have someone write such evil words. What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love. Thank u, Next.â
GOT star came in support of Priyanka Chopra, as she bashed the publication by writing,
âThis is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bullshit.â
After receiving huge online backlash from all over the place, the publications deleted the post and issued an apology to the readers and NickYanka in a statement that reads,
âLast night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopraâs relationship that shouldnât have gone up. Weâve received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger. We want you to know that we hear you and weâre sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick.â
In the meantime, Priyanka gave an epic reply to this article, as she said that she is in a very happy state and doesnât care about these stupid things.
