This movie is an overview of the treatment given to those belonging to the Dalit community in India, even after laws being established to protect their rights. Directed by Bikas Misra, ‘Chauranga’ shows us the struggles of a Dalit woman and her two sons, one of which is rebellious to the treatment and other one has accepted his fate of being treated with horrific discrimination. The movie definitely hits hard on the audience’s minds.
