Virat Kohli Decided To Quits RCB Captaincy And Names The New Captain For His Team
The well known ‘Mankading’ controversy, which erupted on Monday night during the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab, has left the Indian cricket board (BCCI) divided with their officials expressing different opinions.
Royal Challengers Bangalore never got to win the title but still edged a loyal fan following for themselves, with Virat Kohli taking the reign every year and leading them to some unforgettable moments.
According to the reports, Virat Kohli seemed to be upset and angry that he stormed into the match referee’s room, after it was revealed that there was no ball and his team had a chance to win, if only the umpires were careful. He even said that they are not playing any club cricket.
Virat Kohli seems annoyed, RCB suffered three consecutive losses this year. After the defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad, he is clearly not taking these well. His team suffered losses against Mumbai Indians as well as Chennai Super Kings.
This humiliating defeat was too much for him to take, and this prompted his immediate decision to step down from the post of captaincy. Apparently, he does not want to continue as a captain for RCB and took this bold decision.
It was so humiliating that he clearly said, ‘one of our worst losses ever. Literally, nothing i can explain’. He has already decided to hand over the role to Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the most promising in the team.
Kohli said he wants to see Chahal leading the team, as being an integral part of RCB as well as the Indian team, he will get time and opportunity for his future leadership abilities. He wants to train himself, so that he gets promoted in the batting order as well, when he definitely hit a six.
