However, after a successful run with his debut film Toilet Ek Prem Katha at the Box Office, Shree has yet again taken the directorial seat and is ready to kick start the shoot of the much-awaited film. The director along with his writers Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal and the team will shoot the film in Uttarakhand. Batti Gul Meter Chalu will be Shree’s first film shot in the city after TEPK.
The shoot will take place at places Haridwar, Dehradun, and Rishikesh, which had caught the attention of the director during the recce. According to the sources, the entire team is super excited to begin the shoot in the beautiful city and lot of preparations has been done since few months. “The film will be shot in one schedule, so has to keep the vibe of the film intact. It’s a three-month schedule and if all goes according to the plan we plan to wrap the shoot by April end,” said the source.
Shree and his team have also got complete support from the government of Uttarakhand to shoot Batti Gul Meter Challu in their city. During their last recce, the team met CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and apprised him about their next venture to be shot in Uttarakhand, and got a positive response in return.
We are really excited to see this talented cast in one frame. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor is waiting for the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial period film ‘Padmaavat’, in which he has played the role of Raja Maha Rawal Ratan Singh.
