Priyanka Chopra Admires Dwayne Johnson’s Hard Work

Seth Gordon’s film Baywatch stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Effron and of course our desi girl Priyanka Chopra. This film being her Bollywood debut was a great experience for her even though she played a negative role in the movie. Baywatch has released in the US already, it will release on June 2 in India. It was shocking how Dwayne being a part of the movie, it couldn’t do well at the box office. Priyanka on the other hand spoke many good things about The Rock. The Quantico actress visited Mumbai last month, and was quizzed. She was asked to describe her co-star Dwayne and talk about how she feels about him. She said, “He deserves the hype he has. He deserves to be the movie star he is. He’s extremely hard working, very focused, super smart knows how to market a film, extremely gentle and super funny, which I didn’t expect, but really sweet and thoughtful. Like when I was coming to India we met for CinemaCon, it was his idea, he told me can I send a video for the press and for the country I feel really bad that I cannot come. He definitely deserves the love he gets.” The good thing is that even The Rock admires PC in the same way. He has micro blogging page where he wrote that he called Priyanka ‘sizzler’ fondly. As she has chosen to play a baddie over the bikini in the film, she was asked why she chose that role to which she replied, “I’m not in a swimsuit in this one. There is no debate on why. I would choose a baddie over a bikini. It’s a much better character. Wearing a bikini is easy; you can do it on a cover of a magazine. You don’t need a movie for that, you choose movie for characters. And my character was extremely intriguing to me. It was written for a guy and I recently found out who was it written for. Actually, it was a really big actor, and so that made me feel more pressure. Ask Seth (Gordon)… you all can ask Seth, I can’t obviously talk about it. That put more pressure on me, but Seth thought it would be fun to have a female antagonist. So, it was a lot of fun for me to play that’s why I chose it.” As she is playing the negative lead in the film in the name of Miss Victoria Leeds, she said, “It wasn’t normal. I wanted her to be feminine. I wanted her to be scary, not because she screams and yells. Like a graceful one, she doesn’t have to get her nails dirty; she has heels for that.” Will Dwyane’s and Priyanka’s magic work in India, what do you guys think?
