Parineeti Chopra is an Indian actress working in Bollywood movies. She started her career with the movie Ishaqzaade in 2012. She is the first cousin of Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra. She was born on 22 October 1988 in Ambala Haryana in a Punjabi family. Her father is a businessman associated with the Indian army. She got her education from the school Convent of Jesus and Mary in Ambala. She aspired to become a banker and studied for the same in a reputed university in UK. But soon she changed her career plans and joined a film production company working as a PR consultant. She later got interested in acting as well after she accompanied her cousin Priyanka to the sets of the film 7 Khoon Maaf.
Parineeti got her first role in the film Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl in 2011 in a supporting role. She got Filmfare Best debut that year. She made a full length debut in the film Ishaqzaade opposite Arjun Kapoor in 2012. She bagged many commercial roles later on but struggled to find success. Parineeti was cast in leading roles in films namely Shuddh Desi Romance, Hasee toh Phasee, Daawat-e- Ishq, Kill Dill and Dishoom.
In 2014, Parineeti was the mentor for the TV Singing reality show India’s Best Cine Stars Ki Khoj. Parineeti is the brand ambassador for Kurkure snacks, Pantene, Coke, Nivea, Maaza, Spinz and WeChat. Parineeti experimented with her looks a lot. As she was a plump child when she began her career she shed oodles of weight and changed from cute to sexy. She revealed in an interview that she had struggled with the way she looked.
Parineeti is presently working in the film Meri Pyaari Bindu with actor Ayushman Khurana.
