Esha Gupta is among the most popular glamorous actresses in Bollywood. Esha shot to fame after she won the Femina Miss International title in 2007. She has got popularity for her work in the movies namely Jannat 2, Raaz 3 D, Baby and Rustom. The actress’s looks are often compared to that of Aneglina Jolie and Lara Dutta. She is a fashionista too who adds glamour quotient to her roles.
Esha Gupta was born on 28 November 1985 in New Delhi. Her father is a retired Air Force officer and her mother a designer. She has a younger sister named Neha. Esha had most of her schooling in Delhi before she joined a mass communication course in Manipal University in Karnataka. She was a bright student and got a major scholarship opportunity for Law school in New Castle University. But the actress gave up the opportunity to pursue her passion in modeling and glamour. After few modeling assignments in Mumbai, she participated in Femina Miss India Pageant in 2007. She was adjudged as Miss Photogenic and came third in the contest getting Miss International title. She represented India on the international platform in 2007.
Following her fame as Miss India International, Esha Gupta modeled for Kingfisher Calendar Girl in 2010. Esha got her Bollywood break in Mahesh Bhatt film Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi. Although she got nominations for her debut role, she was mostly criticized for her glam doll performance which lacked originality and acting kills. This was followed by another movie form the same camp , Raaz 3 D which had Emraan Hashmi and Bipasha Basu. The actress once again gave an average performance in the film. This was followed by a political drama called Chakravyuh. She appeared in a song “Dhat Teri Ki” with Imran Khan in Gori Tere Pyar Mein. She worked in the comedy Humshakals which was a multi-starrer and a major failure on the box office.
In 2013, Esha got the 8th position among India’s most desirable women. In 2015, she worked in a music video called Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon. In 2016, she played a significant vamp character in the film Rustom. The role was conspicuous with it’s style and grey shade.
