Crowd Says MS Dhoni’s Name After Rishabh Pant’s Mistakes

Rishabh Pant is a professional Indian cricketer who plays for India. He had an outing behind the stumps in the 4th ODI between India and Australia. He recalled in the ODI team for the series but could not play in any of the first three games with the incumbent MS Dhoni taking care of the wicket keeping duties.

However, Rishabh Pant did little in the fourth ODI to show that the team management was wrong to include him in the playing eleven in the previous games.

He played a good hand during India’s innings as he scored 36 off 24 including four fours and a six. He was far from his best with the gloves as he spilt a few crucial chances in the 44th over of the Australian innings. Pant had the chance to stump Ashton Turner.

The crowd could not take anymore and expressed their dissatisfaction with Pant by reminding him that he was still second best, by Dhoni’s name. They started chanting ‘Dhoni, Dhoni’, demanding that MSD should be brought back in the team.

Some netizens were also annoyed with the manner in which Rishabh Pant carried out wicketkeeping and they trolled him big time.

Pant’s missed stumping proved costly for india as Turner, who was batting on 38 at that time, went on to play a sublime knock of 84 not out to take Australia home in a remarkable fashion. The knock came off just 43 balls and was studded with 5 fours and 6 sixes as Australia crossed the line inside 48 overs.
