Directed by S.Shankar, 2.0 is a big budget movie of around Rs 450 crore. Rajinikanth opposite Akshay Kumar will be a treat to watch. Talking about 2.0, Akshay said, “The script, Shankar sir, Rajini sir- the whole combination. And I always wanted to work in South. Heard so much about the professionalism. It’s great to be a part of this kind of a film. It’s been long since I have done a negative role. I played a negative role long back, in a film called Ajnabee. And that’s why I did it.”

Earlier it was about to get released in Diwali this year but now it is postponed to January 2018. As per sources, Rajinikanth will be playing five roles in the movie and the Akshay Kumar who is playing the antagonist will be seen in 12 roles.
