Adam Cole loses calm after Pat McAfee jokes about his size
After Adam Cole lost the NXT Championship to Keith Lee, as part of the second night of The Great American Bash a few weeks ago, the longest-reigning NXT Championship holder was not in his right state of mind since then.
On Thursday, the former NFL star, Pat MaAfee on his radio show tested Cole’s temperament by crediting his NXT Championship to ‘The Undisputed Era’ claiming that it always protected him and that much of his time was spent under that Era, thus giving him advantage.
McAfee didn’t stop there, he then went on further to make a jab about Cole’s size. The former NXT Champion couldn’t take the insult and lost it. Cole pushed the microphone out of his way before going on to swear in McAfee’s face.
To defuse the situation, the producer rushed in but was pushed out of the way before Cole stormed out of the studio.
It’s surely been a rough few weeks for the former NXT Champion and without his title, it’s getting hard for Cole to put himself together.
Meanwhile, legitimacy of this whole scenario has also been questioned. Where this rant would lead Cole? Will Adam Cole, given to pressure, leave ‘Undisputed Era’ to prove that he has what it takes to be Champion alone, or will Adam Cole leave his teammates behind and head to the main roster?
We could also watch Cole move up to RAW or SmackDown, as he doesn’t have the NXT Championship, which allows him to move to one of WWE’s two flagship shows, i.e. RAW or SmackDown.
