23 Confronting Mug Shots of the Same Woman Over 10 Years 1 5 December, 2013 As for Sarah Wulchak, things have been quiet on the news front lately. Either the media has forgotten about her and moved on to other tales of humiliating circumstances or she really has cleaned up her act in the last 12 months. Who knows – she might pull herself together and become the first female President of the United States! I guess we’ll have to wait and see! 2 5 September, 2013 If there is anything to be learnt from the picture gallery revealing the steady decline of a once-normal woman into psychotic anarchy, it’s that crime doesn’t pay! Or perhaps that if you’re getting arrested this often, clearly you’re not good at getting away with stuff and maybe you should just stop doing stupid things! 3 25 June, 2013 For example, when police asked Bolin why he waited until the next morning to report the incident, he told them that he couldn’t decide whether or not he wanted to press charges against his girlfriend. It was only when he saw how ugly his deformed ear looked in the mirror the next morning that he decided to report the crime. 4 20 February, 2013 The news websites had an absolute field day in the days following the ear-biting incident, mainly because friends and family described Bolin as Wulchak’s “on again off again boyfriend”, and also because Bolin quoted as saying some pretty hilarious stuff. Not intentionally, of course, but funny nonetheless. 5 8 January, 2013 Nowadays though, any female prisoner who would be willing to mess with Sarah Wulchak in the prison yard would impress me. While she once had a hint of a nervous and depressed expression on her face, she now stares angrily and defiantly into the camera in the most recent mug shots. 6 24 September, 2012 One thing is for sure – that scared young woman in the first few mug shots certainly would not have lasted long in prison. Luckily, those early days of her criminal career consisted of public drunkenness, theft, and other misdemeanors that weren’t serious enough charges to put her behind proper bars. 7 6 July, 2011 Because of this newfound attention, WPBF.com were well aware of her continuous arrests as they happened from that point onwards, meaning they released another story on her regarding the five times she was arrested in 2013 alone. Her arrests included paraphernalia possession and three separate battery charges… plus the assault charge from biting her boyfriend’s ear off, of course. 8 9 December, 2010 Sarah Wulchak’s “fame” (I guess you could kind of call it that… sort of) was a direct result of the ear-biting incident of January 2013. The story was bizarre enough to attract the attention of local news station WPBF.com, who then did some digging on her past and were astounded at all of the arrests they found. 9 17 September, 2010 I wonder what the police officers think or say when she comes back in time and time again, most likely to the exact same police department in DeLand, Florida? Surely she would know all of their names by now. They’re probably best friends! Perhaps she feels most at home hanging out with her buddies at the precinct while being booked. 10 27 June, 2010 Even now, many of Sarah Wulchak’s charges are still pending so we will more than likely get to see even more mug shots of her in the future. Who knows – she might still have a good 20 more years in her, in which case we can expect a lot horrendous mug shots spanning from the mundane-looking but semi-human girl at the start of this freak show to something resembling a six month old corpse. 11 11 May, 2010 Whatever happened in that six-month period from the end of November to mid-May must have been pretty intense and I’m willing to bet it involved a lot of drugs. Nothing else can age and deteriorate a person’s physical appearance that much. And judging by that insane smile, her mental stability had taken a serious hit by this point also. 12 18 April, 2010 The biggest transformation in her appearance seems to be between November 1, 2006 and May 18, 2007. In that gap you can see the biggest transition from someone who still looks mildly human to a freak of nature who is barely recognizable and who you would probably cross the road to avoid passing in the street. 13 21 January, 2010 I’m not saying that’s the case with Sarah Wulchak – I’m pretty sure she’s just mind-numbingly stupid – but indeed, she must enjoy some aspects of jail to be so determined to get back there whenever she gets to leave. Especially in 2010 – this was her busiest year yet, with 6 arrests inside 12 months. 14 1 August, 2007 Perhaps Wulchak just enjoys prison? She sure seems to be doing her best to spend as much time behind bars as humanly possible. It’s like that thing Stephen King wrote about in The Shawshank Redemption, where people who spent a certain amount of time in prison become so accustomed to it that they don’t how to live a free life! 15 18 May, 2007 Police then found Wulchak the next night at a nearby hotel she had checked into after her little lover’s spat (as in, spat out his ear after biting it off!). She was arrested immediately and her 19th mug shot was taken, only several months away from ending up plastered all over the Internet for all to see. 16 1 November, 2006 The next thing Bolin remembers is a sharp pain in his left ear while Wulchak remained on his back. He started hitting her and trying to pull away and get her off him, but she was holding on tight and scratching his face. Eventually Bolin got her off and she stormed out in a huff. 17 23 October, 2006 Once the argument got increasingly heated, Wulchak got physical and Bolin decided to retreat to his bedroom before things could escalate into an all-out fistfight. But Wulchk wasn’t going to let him off that easy, so she ran after him and jumped on his back as he entered his room. 18 30 May, 2006 The victim, her 53-year-old boyfriend of the time named Steve Bolin, called the police and informed them that Wulchak had attacked him in his own bedroom. The deputies who arrived at the scene were eventually able to establish that Bolin had been eating a bowl of spaghetti when an argument broke out between the couple. 19 3 March, 2006 For the most part, all of her offences were pretty minor misdemeanors. That is, until January of 2013 when she graduated to a higher level of crime (and media attention) by allegedly attacking her boyfriend at the time and even biting off a chunk of his ear! Ouch, that’s gotta hurt! 20 2 July, 2005 Her first brush with the law provides a mug shot that reveals her to be a relatively normal-looking, healthy woman whose only downfall is perhaps a little too much eye shadow and a very unimpressed and unflattering expression on her face. Who knows what she would like now if she had chosen a different path in life. 21 9 June, 2005 Since 2003, Sarah Wulchak has done it all – grand theft auto, trespass, aggravated battery… at least she’s diverse in her various offences! Perhaps she’s just making a competition out of it and this is all some kind of personal contest to see if she can cross off every single crime in the constitution! 22 27 October, 2003 These mug shots taken upon each one of her arrests act as a sort of timeline that shows her looks slowly deteriorate as she succumbs to a life of drugs, violence, and general crime. By the end of her ten year stint she is one of the most shabby and unkempt human beings you will have ever laid eyes on! 23 11 September, 2003 Introducing Sarah Wulchak of DeLand, Florida, who has recently achieved Internet fame for all the wrong reasons – Wulchak has been arrested 23 times over a 10-year period spanning from 11 September, 2003 to 5 December, 2013. The reason for the attention is that you can hardly even recognize her as the same person by the end of this rollercoaster ride of a decade she must have had.
