It was World Menstrual Hygiene Day on Thursday. Many people across the globe celebrated the day with a social message. The Bollywood Khatron Ka Khiladi, Akshay Kumar too took this day reminiscing his movie Padman. The movie is based lack of menstrual hygiene in the rural areas of the country.
Akshay posted about it on Twitter tagging his co stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. His lady love Twinkle Khanna was the producer of the film marking her entry into film production. However, Akhsay forgot to mention about her participation in the film along with thw director R Balki and the man on whom the story is based, Arunachalam Murugunantham.
The Twitter brawl
Akshay’s followers were quick to notice the glitch in his mentions. To this Twinkle spontaneously replied
“Can you believe it! Ghar Ki Murgi to another level:)” [sic].
The witty actress also took a gig at Akshay saying that he wont be a part of her next production!

Not too long after her tweet, Akshay realized the big mistake he had made! He hastily tweeted back saying
“Please mere pet pe laat mat maaro.”

During the promotions of Padman, Twinkle was asked in one of the interviews if she wanted to cast Akshay in the lead role. To this she replied, ” No R Balki convinced me that Akshay should do this part.”
She was further asked as to who was her first choice for the film. To this Twinkle chuckled and cross questioned “Are you trying to create trouble in my marriage now? Akshay waa quick enough to point out “You already said that now (I was not your first choice for the film), there is already a problem.”
The sarcastic couple have always appeared to be jocular in their relationship. While filming the movie Padman, Akshay tweeted a special thank you message for his wife. Here’s what he wrote:-
