Tweet deleted! Vivek Oberoi finally apologises for sharing a meme featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Vivek Oberoi recently drew a controversy by sharing a meme over exit polls on Twitter! The Meme Showed a picture of Aishwarya Rai with Salman Khan captioned Opinion Poll, Another Picture of Aishwarya Rai with Vivek Oberoi himself, captioned Exit Poll and a family picture of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan captioned final result! This lead to a lot of bashing over the social media! Sonam Kapoor bashed Vivek Oberoi for sharing the tweet while Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli gave it back to Sonam Kapoor for calling Vivek Oberoi Classless and Disgusting! While the people urge him to apologize for his deed and the later refused earlier, Vivek Oberoi has finally deleted the tweet and apologised for his mistake!
Vivek Oberoi earlier said, “People are saying apologise, I have no problem in apologising, but tell me what wrong have I done? If I have done something wrong I will apologise. I don’t think I have done anything wrong. What’s wrong in it? Somebody tweeted a meme and I laughed at it. I don’t know why people are making a huge issue out of it. Someone had sent me a meme which made fun of me. I laughed on it and I appreciated the person for his creativity. If someone mocks at you, you should not take it seriously. Those in the meme don’t have a problem, but everyone else has.”
Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I cant even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever.

However, perhaps Vivek had a change of mind as he just took up to Twitter to not only delete the meme but also issue a public apology to everyone who got offended by his not-so-funny joke. “Sometimes what appears to be funny and harmless at first glance to one, may not be so to others. I have spent the last 10 years empowering more than 2000 underprivileged girls, I cant even think of being disrespectful to any woman ever. Even if one woman is offended by my reply to the meme, it calls for remedial action. Apologies tweet deleted.”, writes Vivek.
