Deepika’s frequent link ups: The beautiful damsel stormed the cine world with her debut in Shahrukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om. Even before the release of the film, she became a star thanks to the promotional tactics of the film makers. There were also frequent link up news about her starting with her link up with then Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Later , there was news that cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Deepika were seeing each other. Deepika was also seen among the audience in a cricket match in Australia supporting Yuvraj. There she was shooting for the film Bajna Ae Haseeno with Ranbir Kapoor. Months later, she was reported to have parted ways with Yuvraj and was dating Ranbir !!! Deepika’s tiff with Katrina : Deepika and Ranbir were a couple for about one and half year and yes they were all over the media proclaiming their love. While Ranbir started shooting for Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani with Katrina , there were reports of the two linking up. Following this Ranbir and Deepika announced their break up. Naturally Deepika did not take it so lightly and whenever she got a chance to target Katrina , she took a jibe at her. In a press conference she was asked if she meets Katrina what she would like to ask her. Deepika said she would like to check her passport. This prompted Katrina to respond that anybody can check her passport. But the poor girl compared herself to politician Rahul Gandhi which landed her in trouble. Katrina later apologized for her ignorance. Deepika’s Condon Jibe at Ranbir : After breaking up with Ranbir, Deepika did not leave any chance to tarnish his image. She said in Koffee With Karan show , supported by Sonam Kapoor, that she suggests Ranbir to endorse condoms. This was not taken as a very decent remark by Ranbir himself. Deepika’s Cleavage Controversy: A leading news papers using lewd remarks to put Deepika in news prompted her to tweet against them and this led to the famous cleavage controversy which was unique in it’s own kind. Deepika , after explaining her side kept a dignified silence. Deepika’s “ MyChoice” video: Deepika’s acting in a video which was supposed to be for women empowerment got ridicule and criticism opposite to what she might have anticipated. The video was termed as rubbish by many.
