Sushant was neither dropped, nor replaced from any of my films: Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali told the Mumbai Police that late actor Sushant Singh Rajput rejected four films offered by the filmmaker due to his other commitments.
Sanjay, who was summoned by the Mumbai Police for questioning in connection with the Sushant Singh’s death, was grilled by the police for three hours on Monday.
He said, “I approached Sushant Singh Rajput for Ramleela and Bajirao Mastani but he wanted to focus on Yashraj Films’ Project ‘Paani’. He was never dropped nor replaced from any of my projects, instead he was in contract with YRF then.”
He added, “I met him first in 2012 while I was casting actors for my show Saraswati Chandra. He wasn’t cast in the show but I was impressed with his acting skills.”

Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra on June 14.
On Sushant’s depression, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that he was not in touch with the actor since many years and he had no clue about it.
Bhansali reached Mumbai’s Bandra Police Station with his legal team at around 12.30 pm and was questioned for around 3 hours.
