Bihar based Sriti Jha was born for acting. With her girl next door looks, Sriti fits very well into desi and modern characters. Starting her career with small roles, Sriti is now one of the leading lady of Hindi TV.

Sriti was born on 26 th February 1986 in a district named Begusarai in Bihar. After her initial schooling in Bihar, Sriti shifted to Mumbai to hunt for modeling and acting opportunities.  Sriti was given a big opportunity to play a role in Disney’s show Dhoom Machao Dhoom 2006. Sriti was cast in the role of Miss Malini in this teenage comedy. As this serial got popularity, she received more offers from daily soaps. Later she was seen in serials such as Jiya Jale and Shaurya Aur Suhani. Her big break came when she was cast in the role of Sudha in the show Jyoti on NDTV Imagine. Jyoti was a hit show and Sudha’s character grew in volume later. Sriti’s role of Sudha, suffering from multiple personality disorder, became prominent. This role got her recognition as she essayed it with great skill.

Sriti Jha continued to find success on the small screen with the serials like Rakshabandhan and Dil Se Dua- Saubhagyavati Bhava. Sriti struck gold with her performance in the serial Kumkum Bhagya. In the serial Sriti plays the role of Pragya who is one of the two daughters of an entrepreneur. Her relationship with her husband played by Shabbir Ahluwalia and her family is vividly portrayed in the serial which makes it one of the most watched serials on the channel.  Playing this traditional Bahu role, Sriti has got very popular among the household audience. Besdies, she has received viewer’s choice award for this role. In 2015, she won best lead female award and best onscreen couple award with her co star Shabbir Ahluwalia.
