Shahid Kapoor is a popular star of B Town who was born on 25th February 1981, also known as Shahid Khattar, is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. He comes from the family of veteran actor Pankaj Kapur and Neelima Azeem and was born and brought up in New Delhi. His parents separated when he was three, and he continued living with his mother. He did his schooling from Gyan Bharti School based in Delhi till fourth standard and then headed to Bombay to study in Rajhans Vidyalala. He hails from a good film background, which gave him a good launchepad for his entry into the Bollywood world. All his siblings and half siblings too are acting in different movies. They moved to Mumbai when has was 10, where he joined Shiamak Davar’s dance academy. Kapoor appeared as a background dancer in a few films of the 1990s, and was later featured in music videos and television commercials.
Shahid Kapoor started his career by working in different commercial ads and music videos. He made his debut in a movie called Ishq Vishk in the year 2003 for which he was also awarded the Filmfare award under newcomer category. He then acted in a number of movies, which included Fida in 2004, Shikhar in 2005, while his first blockbuster movie was Vivah that realeased in the year 2006 for which he was even nominated as best actor in Filmfare. His other big success was Jab We Met released in the year 2007. He then gave a number of average and few successful movies in the row.
He did his dance training from SDIPA (Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts). This gave him the chance to be a background dance in the movie Taal while he then did a couple of commercials in TV and later was seen in the music video called Aankhon Me Tera His Chehra by Aryans with Hrishita Bhatt. He gave a couple of hits including the negative character based movie called Kaminey wherein he played the twin characters known as Guddu and Charlie, which gave him rave reviews. After doing the movie Fida with Kareena Kapoor he started dating this actress, however, was separated after the release of Jab We Met in the year 2007. Their love affair was in live in the media was three years, but after their break off they remained good friends and wished happy life to each other. Post breakup Shahid was seen turning introvert and hence do keep his personal things away from the media. Despite his solitude, he was seen linked with various celebrities including tennis player Sania Mirza along with actresses from Bollywood like Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Nargis Fakhri, Bipasha Basu and Sonakshi Sinha.
Some of his recent released movie includes Haider, Shandaar and Udta Punjab, which gave the actor critical applauds for his incredible performance. His upcoming movie is a Romantic thriller called Rangoon which is doing with Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan. Talking about his personal life, he got married in June 2015 to Mira Rajput who comes from Kapoor’s family friends her marriage made headlines for a number of reasons mostly due to the huge age gap between the two. The couple was blessed with a cute little daughter whom they named as Misha. Besides, he has hosted a couple of award functions and has won a couple of awards for his acting performances in different movies including the Best Actor Filfare award for the movies Jab We Met and Kaminey.
