Shah Rukh Khan Assured Raj Thackeray That Mahira Khan Will Not Be In India To Promote Raees

Raees has been making headlines since the first day. Recently, the makers of the movie have begun the promotion of the movie. And as usual they were flooded with numerous questions about Mahira Khan, her role and scenes in the movie and etc. To which Shah Rukh and the co-producer of Raees Ritesh Sidhwani both responded positively that Mahira Khan might come and promote her Bollywood debut movie “Raees”. They even added that there is no restriction from the Govt. side regarding issuing visas to Pakistani artists. Definitely, this made Raj Thackeray uncomfortable as he has earlier cleared that any Pakistani artist can neither work or visit India for any professional reasons. So, the speculation was rife that may be Raees will not have a peaceful release or may be worse no release. As per the details of the meeting, it has been conveyed by Shah Rukh Khan that Mahira Khan will not be in the city to promote the movie. Also, SRK pledged to the MNS chief that he will not be working with any Pakistani artists in future. In their words, “There was news in the media for past one week that SRK is going to get Mahira Khan to India for film promotions. So he came here to meet Raj Saheb to tell that Mahira Khan is not coming to India for any kind of film promotion and he will also not cast any Pakistani artists in future”. But in light of Uri attacks MNS chief very strictly instructed all the film makers to avoid working with Pakistani artists else their films won’t see the light of the day. Most of the scenes of Pakistani actor fawad Khan were deleted but even then the movie was facing huge issues in getting released peacefully.
