One of the leading ladies of Hindi Television, Sanjeeda Sheikh, has won many awards and recognition in her ten years long acting career. Besides being a lovely actress, Sanjeeda is also a skilled dancer. She married boyfriend Aamir Ali and continues to work in the television industry. She has also acted in Hindi films such as Baghban and Pankh.
Sanjeeda was born on 24 December 1984. She resided in Mumbai and had her education there. Being a lovely fashionable girl, Sanjeeda never shied away from performing on stage. Soon after completing her education, she took to modeling. She came in touch with the reputed production house of Balaji Telefilms owned by Ekta Kapoor. After being considered for few roles, she was finally offered the leading role in the hit serial Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka in 2006.She played the role of a cheerful and vivacious girl Nimmo who was equally smart at her work as she was at her home. The show was based on the interesting happenings in the daily life of this girl belonging to a middle class back ground. With this serial Sanjeeda became a very popular face on the TV and was later approached with many offers. She worked in the shows Kayamath, Kya Dil Mein Hain, Jaane Pehchane se Ajnabi, Hai Padosi.. Kaun Se Doshi, Ek Haseena Thi and Ishq Ka Rang Safed. She played the female lead in all the shows.
Besides her popular roles of Nimmo and Ayesha (Kayamath), Sanjeeda got popular as a dancer too. In 2007, she participated in the celebrity dance show Nach Baliye 3 with her boyfriend Aamir Ali, also an actor. The couple gave scintillating dance performances and emerged as the winner of the show. With this Sanjeeda and Aamir became known as a star couple.
Sanjeeda married Aamir Ali in 2012 after seven years of dating. She is returning to television after a break with the web series titled Gehrayiyaan.
Sanjeeda has acted in Bollywood films namely Baghban and Pankh. For her powerful roles on television, she has won many awards from the television fraternity.
