The star also revealed that SS Rajamouli and he are huge fans of Amar Chitra Katha and its characters. He said, “We took back a bit of that to cinema. It was not one particular thing. Bhallaladeva was inspired by those great villains and not particularly one. It is bit and pieces of everything. I cannot pinpoint on one.”

With the release of the movie, the audiences got the answer of the most awaited question, “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?’’ But after watching the movie people were also curious to know about Bhallaladeva’s wife or queen. In the first part we have seen Bhadra, Bhallaladeva’s son whose head was slained by Prabhas aka Mahendra Baahubali. We didn’t get any hint of who was Bhallaladeva’s wife. In the second part we were expecting that Rajamouli will show the character. But this is yet another question left unanswered. When Rana was asked about it, he chuckled and said, “You can tell people he was a surrogate kid. He does not have a mom.”
