As per the Tourism Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, they had approached to Sachin Tendulkar for it but after their decline, it was Priyanka who said yes for it. He said, “We approached Sachin Tendulkar, but he refused. After that, we went to 4-5 more celebrities. Finally, we zeroed in on Priyanka Chopra.”
Though he didn’t clarify the reasons why Sachin Tendulkar declined it but he was happy that Chopra is agreed on in for free of cost. He added, “The agreement does not have any cost. Well only have to pay her during shooting and also for print advertisements as she will do so by leaving aside other work.”
