Deleted scenes from Raman Raghav 2.0

Anurag Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is the perfect recipe for great critic movies. This duo created magic just 4 years back in their crime drama venture of Gangs of Wasseypur. The movie not onlay gained critical acclaim but was also able to entertain the viewers. As a result fans have great expectations from the duo.

The most recent project where the two has worked is psychological thriller named Raman Raghav 2.0. Besides Nawazuddin, Vicky Kaushal had also acted in the movie. But the Box Office reports of the movie are really disheartening. The movie was released with the Hollywood movie Independence Day Resurgence. This is probably one of the reasons why the movie has been able to collect a total of just 2.46 crores in its opening week.

The movie is about the life of psychopath killer who roamed the roads of Mumbai in the mid 1960s. The role of the serial killer Raman a.k.a. Ramanna is portrayed by Nawazuddin Siddiqui while Vicky Kaushal played the role of a cop responsible for the investigation of the serial killings on the streets of Mumbai. The movie was premiered Cannes Director’s Fortnight where it received great critical acclaims. So hopes were quite high regarding the movie. But the first week collections speak otherwise.

However people who have seen the movie already or is planning to see it in the near future must know about a fact or two. Director Anurag Kashyap has recently declared that there have been a few scenes that were deleted from the theatrical release of the movie. It was a 6 minute long clip that was trimmed. He said “This is a big scene we took out from the film. It came before he goes to meet his father. You can see the Dvd in Raghav’s hand when he goes to meet his dad in the car after and in other places we digitally removed it.”
