As Bollywood celebrates all relationships, it has come up with very touching movies based on brother-sister relationships. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Let's have a look at some of the films based on the brother-sister bond. Hare Rama Hare Krishna: A revolution in itself, the story traces the story of a brother (played by Dev Anand) who goes in search of his hippie sister. Consumed by his love and duty, he puts his life on hold so that he can rehabilitate his drug addicted younger sister (played by Zeenat Aman). Not only did this movie give a message against drug abuse, but also captured the beauty of a relationship between a brother and sister. The song Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka from the film touches your heart and is considered as an all-time favorite song for Raksha Bandhan. My Brother Nikhil: A beautiful film inspired by a real-life story of a swimming champion who gets detected with HIV positive. Ostracized by society and ousted by family, Nikhil (played by Sanjay Suri) loses all hope and will to live. However, it is his sister (Juhi Chawla) who helps him get on with his life and brings a ray of hope in his dark life. The movie captures the essence of a brother-sister bond and has some really wow moments. Josh: When Bollywoodâ hottest dude Shah Rukh Khan has a gorgeous sister Aishwarya Rai, the movie is indeed a must watch. Shot in Goa, the story is about two gangs of rowdy boys who want to rule Vasco, Goa, in 1980. The movie also revolved around a beautiful bond between brother-sister and their love for each other. While Shah Rukh is the fiercely protective brother with a heart of gold and rowdiness in his manners, Aishwarya is a quintessential sweet girl. The sibling magic that Ash & SRK weaved together in the movie was unbeatable. Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya: When you have a brother as handsome and virile as Arbaaz Khan, then it is definitely a must watch. The movie showed a beautiful bond between an orphan girl (Kajol) and her overprotective, brooding and possessive brother Arbaaz. He is always there for his sister and protects her from all the boys. There is love, trust, and respect for each other, which should form the basis of any sibling relationship. Iqbal: Another beautiful story about sibling love, Iqbal is a story of a deaf and dumb brother who dreams of playing cricket for India. However, he is discouraged by his father. It is his younger sister, played by Shweta Prasad, who not only motivates her brother but guides him to achieve his dream. She is her guiding force who helps him try out for a nearby academy run by Guruji (Girish Karnad), an influential former India captain. Excellent performances and a feel good factor make this film a must watch. Fiza: A powerful story with a strong message, Fiza is a movie which explores the other side of a brother-sister relationship. The movie is about a sister's (Karisma Kapoor) search for a brother (played by Hrithik Roshan) who went missing during riots. The sister is strong, emotional and has nerves of steel. It is her love for her brother that helps her to overcome all the obstacles she faces in her path. With power-packed performances from both the lead actors, the film received a lot of acclaim from the critics. Queen: He is cute, affectionate, funny and extremely protective of his sister. In the movie Queen, Kangana Ranaut little brother is simply adorable. He is not only sympathetic to his sister, who gets dumped two days before her wedding, but gives her ex-fiance the nasty treatment and refuses to tell him about her whereabouts while she is having fun in Paris and Amsterdam. The bonding between them is sweet and it just makes us fall in love with our little brothers. Hum Sath Sath Hain: A sentimental family drama that epitomizes relationships and family bonding. The bond shared between three brothers- played by Mohnish Behl, Salman Khan, and Saif Ali Khan is unbeatable. In the movie, Mohnish is a true embodiment of an ideal brother who meets with accidents and becomes disabled as he is trying to save his brothers Salman and Saif. There are warmth and solidarity between the brothers and the film is a must watch as it will leave you with a smile. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham: What happens when Bollywood two hottest actors Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan play brothers in a movie, there is a lot of love, emotional drama, and some great bonding. Though SRK, who plays the elder brother, is an adopted son of their father played by Amitabh Bachchan, there is a great bond between the two brothers. A must watch for family, this movie glorifies relations, traditions and Indian values. The way Hrithik convinces and plots to unite his father and brother in the film is also praiseworthy. Gunday: A movie which shows great camaraderie between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, Gunday is a must watch for two brothers who love each other to the point that they can do anything for each other. Though Ranveer and Arjun are not brothers in the literal sense, their relationship is stronger than blood relation. Though their relationship gets soured at a point but their friendship and bond make the movie a must watch for Raksha Bandhan.
