Starting her career from small roles in television industry, Meher Vij has made a name for herself in the entertainment world. After playing key roles in the serials like Kis Des Mein Hain Mera Dil, Ram Milayi Jodi and Yeh Hain Ashiqui, she also appeared in the Salman Khan starrer film Bajrangi Bhaijaan as the mother of Munni/ Shahida. Her pretty and high spirited nature has has brought her wonderful roles on the small screen as well as in films. She was highly impressive in the movie The Pied Piper.
Meher was born as Vaishali Sahadev to Mumbai based parents. Her birthday falls on 22 September 1986. She was always inclined to working in the acting industry. Thanks to her cute looks, she bagged good role as Hetal Gandhi in Raam Milayee Jodi and Preet in Yeh Hain Ashiqui. Along with this she has played cameo roles in films like Lucky : No Time For Love, Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. She has played significant roles in films like Saaya , The Pied Piper, Ardas, Tum Bin II, Secret superstar. She was also a part of Bluffmaster TV series.
Family life: Vaishali’s elder brother Piyush Sahadev is also a television actor. Vaishali was pursing her acting career when she met Manav Vij who is also a television and Bollywood actor. The duo fell in love and became a good looking couple soon. On 5 July 2009, the duo tied the knot in Mumbai. Thereafter Vaishali changed her name to Meher and came to be known as Meher Vij.
Meher’s most important role came in the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan , where in she played the role of Munni’s mother. Although it was a cameo but she was impressive as the Pakistani woman searching for her daughter to reunite with her.
