Huma Qureshi: We have to navigate this new normal with a lot of enthusiasm
Bollywood is slowly getting back on sets after the hard hitting pandemic situation becoming slightly better. Shootings have resumed keeping all safety measures like fewer crew members, frequent sanitisation and use of PPE kits at priority. Recently the cast of Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom including Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi took off to London for the first schedule.
In an interview, Huma Qureshi spoke about the whole experience of getting back to work and adapting to the new normal. She said, “I am excited to go back on the sets. The past few months have been very hard for all of us, and this pandemic has hit us globally. But we have to move forward, and we have to find new ways to work. We have to navigate this new normal with a lot of enthusiasm and energy. Of course, there is a bit of nervousness, but I think everybody on the set is taking maximum precaution to ensure that everyone is taken care of. Safety and health are of utmost importance in a situation like this. We are very excited and grateful that we are getting back to work. It is going to make us to value and cherish what we do even more.”
Huma turned a year older on July 28. However, given the current situation, she celebrated her birthday in a very simole way. “This was a very special birthday because everybody reached out, called and messaged. Time like this makes you value human connection, your friends and family so much more.” said the actress.
As the situation has eased out, several states have unclocked completely. However, Huma has been majorly concerned about her pare ts who live in Delhi. She said ,“Yes, I have been anxious and nervous. The past few months have been hard, and there has been a lot of stress that everyone has had to face. I, of course, was concerned about my parents’ health, especially my dad, as he has diabetes, so he has to be extra careful and cautious. It was a situation that was not in our control. This time away from loved ones was not easy at all.”
