Here’s What Hina Khan Has To Say About Quitting The Show…

Hina Khan aka Akshara finally walked out of the popular daily soap, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, after eight years of association with the show. The makers of the show chose the age-old tradition of killing the character instead of giving the fans of the show some sensible reason for the exit MD of their favorite star. Hina’s character Akshara falls into a valley after getting hit by Karthik’s car who was driving under the influence of alcohol.

The death of Akshara in the show has been disheartening for the fans but still they are hopeful of seeing her back in the show as Akshara’s body is still not found. But here is a sad news for the fans of the actor. She has now made it official that she will never go back on the sets of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ for shooting.

In an interview with a website, she confirmed saying, “It was taking a toll on my health. Of late, I was down with dengue and kidney stones. I want a break for 2-3 months, the producer and the channel suggested that I go on a sabbatical and then come back, lekin ab nahi, bahut monotonous ho gaya tha. They had shown me in every character and shade, Akshara’s journey was over. So yeah, I am still shooting for it, a few scenes which will later be shown in flashback mode. But I am not coming back to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for sure. I would like to return and do something different and fresh.”

From the day reports about her exit from the show has been doing the rounds, there is only one reason being highlighted for her exit and that is her decreased screen time and more focus on Naira and Karthik’s love story.

She explained that it was not easy for her to end the long association. While most actresses leave their shows after four-five years, she stuck around for eight years. She even went on to say, “I broke Tulsi’s (a character from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi) record of being the lead on a show for the longest time- and none of the actors in the current scenario on TV, have reached the stage where I have. So, you see, fame comes with its fair share of issues.”

Talking to another daily, she said, “It was a show that gave me everything I have in life. I formed bonds that will last forever. In the past few days, my co-stars haven’t been looking at me [directly], because if we make eye contact, we will start crying. It has been a sweet ending for me.”

The actor will be back soon in a new role. She has left the show only to explore herself as an actor. “I’m open to comedy, I’m open to all the genres, I really want to try something new,” said Hina.
