‘Half-Girlfriend’ Breaks THIS Record Even Before Release!
Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will team up for the first time in Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend‘. The actor was coincidentally supposed to start his Bollywood journey with Shraddha but that film (Virus Diwan) didn’t take off at all. Now, even before ‘Half Girlfriend’ releases this year, the team has created a new record. What’s it? Of the longest song ever in any Bollywood film!
We heard that composer Mithoon is making an 18-minute long song for the film – a romantic track featuring the lead pair. A leading entertainment portal reports,
“Mithoon has an 18-minute-long song in the film which happens to be the theme of the movie. The song is written by ‘Galliyan’ lyricist Manoj Muntashir. The song will be played at a crucial juncture of the film. The lyrics of the song are also extremely beautiful and Manojji had written these poems at a very early age. He had recited these poems at one of the concerts and director Mohit Suri heard them. Thus he approached Manoji and Mithoon and thought that they would make an amazing song for the film.”
This will break the previous record, held by Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which had recorded a 13 minute long song. But the catch was that a huge chunk of the song got chopped off in the film. Will this song be retained in totality in the film? Nevertheless, this is a record in its own place! ‘Half Girlfriend’ is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy film based on the novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and features Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. The principal photography of the film commenced in June 2016 and filming locations include New York City, Cape Town, Delhi and Bihar. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 19 May 2017.
