Maryam Zakaria is an extremely beautiful Swedish-Iranian actress who in the past year has gathered a huge fan following ever since her Bollywood movie, Grand Masti released. The movie was a box office hit and Maryam also instantly was loved by everyone. The talented actress is known for her gorgeous smile and her enormous sexual appeal that really makes her so special.

Hey Maryam! What has you life’s story been so far? When did you first discover your passion for acting?
About acting:
I was always passionate about Indian cinema ever since I was a child. Bollywood films and the actors were very appealing to me, something I fell deeply in love with for years and always dreamt to make it part of my life and become actress in Indian Cinema. I used to spend lots of time watching and connecting with the warmth and emotion of Bollywood films and the dance, i excelled and pursued it as my dream. In 2009 I decided to chase my dream and move to India, however without any knowledge or connection with the industry, life was a struggle with a lots of learning and understanding of the culture and the system. I stayed strong and had patience and worked hard. Tollywood gave me my first break with diyalo diyala in 100% love movie. After that song I made my acting debut with Allari Naresh in Madatha Kaja. After giving hits in Tollywood i made my entry in to Bollywood with my first acting debut with Saif Ali Khan in Agent Vinod. That gave me a huge breakthrough in Bollywood and after that hits songs like Dil Mera Muft Ka, Pritam Pyare and Nagin helped me establish myself more and that’s when my leading entry into Bollywood with The film Grand Masti happened to me.
About dance:
During my childhood i fell in love with the elegance of madhuri dixits performances in her films and songs. She has been the reason and an inspiration for me to love Indian dance. I had no plans to become a professional dancer but it was my passion and dedication that led me to want to share Bollywood dance with people in Sweden. After which i took up few ethnic Indian dance classes like Kathak, kuchipudi and Bollywood dance to get more knowledge before i started my very own Bollywood dance school ( Indisk Dans Studio) in Stockholm/Sweden. Before moving to India I got the chance to be the lead female face for a famous Persian singer Saeed Shayesteh in 7 of his music videos. I am thankful that I got accepted for my passion and achieved popularity. To become a actress in Bollywood you need to know the language so While I was studying hindi I choose item numbers that came my way which I enjoyed doing and still like to do. I dance from my heart it makes me happy and I love to perform
Your last film Grand Masti was a blockbuster. How have things changed ever since then?
I feel blessed and have a gratitude that my first leading movie Grand Masti was huge success.
Do you feel like a loner or have you already made friends in the industry?
I still have contact with some co stars I’ve worked with, also have some good friends in the industry.
Have you too fallen in love with Mumbai or you still treat it just like you workplace?
I have lived in India for the past 5 years and I feel home here. To me, Mumbai is not a workplace because I’ve built a home here where I have family and friendsJ
Which is you favourite film of all time? And do you have any recent favourites as well?
My two most favorite movies are Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Maine pyar kiya, I have watched them since childhood and can still watch it. I’ve seen these movies so many times that I’ve lost counting hihi
Ashiqi 2 is my recent favorite film, I love romantic movies.
When you done have acting assignments, what keeps you busy? Anything else that you love besides
acting?
I like to read books, workout training and yoga. Hanging out with friends for dinners and movies. Another big passion that I have is traveling, whenever I’m free I try to travel and discover new places.
Who is you dream co-star and why?
Shahrukh Khan has always been someone i have admired since childhood and its my biggest dream to work with him. I think his acting is out of the world.
Your future plans and projects?
Right now I have taken a break from films and songs for personal reasons, but I will announce soon the reason. But of course in the future I will come back.
