SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 has set a benchmark in the history of Indian cinema by crossing Rs 1500 crore in the worldwide market. Working on the story of Baahubali started in 2012. K. Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli’s father and renowned writer also shared his ideologies in this magnum opus. Shobu Yarlagada and Prasad Devineni later came on board as producers.

Earlier only Prabhas was finalised for the lead role in the movie. Then, Sabu Cyril, the production designer started doing research and sketches of costumes, weapons, etc were done. In 2013, the shoot started at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
After so much of hard work, the first instalment came in 2015 which ended with cliffhanger question, “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?” In 2017 April, after so much of long wait came Baahubali 2, the second part which took not only the box office by storm but audiences also were amazed watching the movie.
It has raked in more than Rs 500 crore in the Indian market leaving behind many big movies like Dangal, Sultan, Raaes, P.K and many more. Now it is going to get released in China this July.
