Celeb couple Konkona Sen Sharma, Ranvir Shorey are now officially divorced!

The world of glitz and blings, Bollywood shouldn’t be mistaken for a fairyland where everything is perfect, every love story is a ‘happily ever after’. It seems like for the lovely actress, Konkona Sen Sharma it ended very soon. After having been married to actor Ranvir Shorey for 10 years they had considered separation long before we could imagine.

The marriage of this celebrity couple was a hush-hush affair and very few people; only families and close friends were invited in their very private wedding ceremony that took place in 2010. But if the rumours are to be believed the couple’s marriage hit rock bottom just after 3 years that is in 2013. And by 2015 they called it quits and filed for legal separation. The couple tried their best to keep their marriage, they even underwent detailed counselling but despite all the efforts they couldn’t give their marriage another shot and decided to part their ways in 2020. Ranvir and Konkona are proud parents of a son, Haroon.

The news of their divorce was confirmed by Konkona’s lawyer, Amruta Sathe Pathak, who called it separation by mutual consent.

According to a close family friend, “They came and left separately but nevertheless, this is one of the most peaceful divorces that one has seen in a long time. There is absolutely no animosity between the two. Sad of course that they couldn’t reconcile as a couple but who can control destiny?”

To note, Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma have shared screen together in films like ‘Traffic Signal’, ‘Aaja Nachle’, ‘Gour Hari Dastaan: The Freedom File’ and ‘Mixed Doubles’.

On work front, where Ranvir was seen in Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan’s ‘Angrezi Medium’ and Kunal Kemmu’s ‘Lootcase’, Konkona, is all set for her upcoming project with actress Bhumi Pednekar, ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Who Chamakte Sitare’.
