One of the most critically acclaimed director of Bollywood, Anurag Kashyap has finally opened his heart out to talk about ‘Udta Punjab‘ piracy. Producer Anurag Kashyap didn’t tried to stop the fans to download the movie but have given them a different idea to download it.
On Wednesday, we all were shocked, just like the makers of ‘Udta Punjab’, when we heard the news of Udta Punjab movie leak. Two days before its release, the movie leaked copy made it online and then multiplied on many movie sites. Soon, the makers approached Mumbai Police’s Cyber Cell department, who eventually filed an FIR. Though, from many of the sites the movie got deleted but this breach has caused a lot of ruckus situation among the makers of ‘Udta Punjab’.
At one side, where all the actors and celebs urging people not to download the leaked version of ‘Udta Punjab’ online. On the other side, Anurag Kashyap has some new ideas to convince the audience to stay out of the leaked version of the movie.
Anurag Kashyap, took to his Facebook page and said, “I have never downloaded a film on torrent, i don’t know how to. yes occasionally i have seen downloaded films borrowed from friends and found a way to pay for them later, by buying them on DVD or blurray, and when i say this i also say that no one can stop your right to download a film. This time its a different fight, its a fight against censorship and if you are that audience that always downloads a film, then i won’t ask you to not do that , please do, but wait till saturday which is the day you would normally download a film. Piracy happens because of lack of access and in a world of free internet, i do not have a problem with it. My problem is that this time its a case of vested interests trying to demoralise people from fighting for their rights. So all downloaders of Udta Punjab , i urge, wait till saturday till you decide to not pay for the film, don’t download and share , curb the curiosity for two more days. Thank you for reading this.”
Even we urge the audience to go for it in the Cinema Halls to watch this meaningful movie who realistically depicted the drug problem in Punjab. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh.
