Adah Sharma is a popular actress who works both in Hindi and South Indian films. She was born on 11th May 1989 in Palakkad district of Kerala but brought up in Mumbai. She went on to do her schooling from Auxilium Convent in Pali Hill, Mumbai and later discontinued her 10th class, but on her parents insistence she completed her studies and completed her graduation in Kathak from Gopi Krishna’s Dance Academy. Besides, she went on to learn salsa for four months and then went on to learn jazz and ballet in US. Adah is a gymnast and has been at the forefront in this.
When she decided to enter into the film industry, Adah Sharma gave a number of auditions for several roles in Mumbai, but every time was rejected either due to her curly hair or due to her young age. However, despite all the odds, she bagged the lead female role in the 2008 Hindi horror film 1920 opposite Rajneesh Duggal and directed by Vikram Bhatt. She managed to get loads of accolades of a possessed woman was unanimously praised by critics and the movie was a big hit as well, which gave her the Best Female Debut nomination at the 54th Filmfare Awards.
Adah Sharma then got another film Phir after three years in 2011, which was a horror film that saw her collaborating with Vikram Bhatt who wrote the film, and her 1920 co-star Rajneesh Duggal. Phhir, however, was not as well received as 1920, opening to negative reviews and failing at the box office with Sharma getting mixed response for her performance. She then got another film, the romantic comedy called Hum Hai Raahi Car Ke, which was released another two years later and was a critical and financial failure. In 2014, she did her south Indian debut with a Tamily romance film called Heart Attack opposite Nithiin and then she got another Hindi film Hasee Toh Phasee alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, which released seven days later and featured her in a supporting role.
She then got a number of South Indian films, which include S/O Satyamurthy (Telugu Movie), Rana Vikrama (Kanada), Subramanyam For Sale (Telugu), Garam (Telugu), Kshanam (Telugu), Idhu Namma Aalu (Tamil) and her upcoming Hindi movie is the sequel called Commando 2. Talking about her personal life, she is very much single and not dating anyone as she is focusing on her career.
