Well, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan recently ended their years-long rivalry and became best friends again. But if we dig the past, we would come across so many celebrities who once were very good friends but later turned into enemies. Catfights, hunger for power, growing competition and many more reasons has led to a lot of rivalry in the industry. Hence, so many enemies! But, not everyone But, not everyone is like our Khans right? There are some stars who can never ever become friends again no matter what! Here’s the list of such friend turned enemies. Take a look. AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN AND RANI MUKERJI The rivalry between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rani Mukerji began when Aishwarya was replaced by Rani in Chalte Chalte. Also, there were strong rumours of Rani and Abhishek Bachchan being romantically linked to each other. Rani was also close to the Bachchan family and this added fuel to fire. Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen’s rivalry goes back to the days when they were both competing with each other for the Miss India title. While Aishwarya was the crowd’s favourite and an established model, Sushmita’s win started a cold-war of sorts between the two. Even though both of them went ahead and won the Miss World and Miss Universe competitions respectively, they were constantly pitted against each other. Later both entered Bollywood and their cold-war continued. Though they have never said anything against each other, the cold war continues ANUSHKA SHARMA AND DEEPIKA PADUKONE Anushka Sharma – Deepika Padukone not being friends has one big reason to it, considering the fact that Deepika is allegedly dating Anushkas ex-flame Ranveer Singh. Making their cat-fight even more evident was the fact that while the two were present during one of the matches of the International Premier Tennis League in Delhi, they didn’t even greet each other. Adding fuel to fire is Anushka’s statement in an interview, where she has been quoted as saying that she hadn’t become an overnight star like Deepika Padukone and that no one put her on the covers of magazines calling her the next big thing or that ‘she is the one to look out for.’ She also revealed in the interview that Katrina Kaif was her favourite co-star, the two having worked together in Jab Tak Hai Jaan. However, the report states that this was done on purpose as Katrina is reportedly dating Deepika’s alleged ex-flame, Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif’s personal rivalry is for obvious reasons. Deepika Padukone’s ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor is now allegedly dating Katrina Kaif. Leaving their personal equation aside, Deepika and Katrina are also competing for the numero uno position on the box-office which explains their reluctance to be friendly with each other. DEEPIKA PADUKONE AND PRIYANKA CHOPRA Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone attended the same Award function recently but unlike the last time, the divas did not seem too friendly. While the duo shared a great camaraderie on Karan Johar’s couch last year, their relationship seems to have fizzled over time. Priyanka Chopra was seen having a gala time with newbie Alia Bhatt while Deepika Padukonechose to sit with Priyanka’s ex- flame, Shahid Kapoor. What is interesting is the fact that Deepika congratulated Kangana Ranaut for her performance in Queen, however she did not mention Priyanka Chopra who was also nominated for Mary Kom in the same category. PRIYANKA CHOPRA AND KAREENA KAPOOR Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor have had a rift professionally since the start of their careers as they started almost together. Also, the motor-mouth Kareena once referred to Priyanka just as an acquaintance on a talk show. On personal fronts, Kareena Kapoor dated Shahid Kapoor for almost 5 years before she dumped him after which Shahid dated Priyanka Chopra. SHRADDHA KAPOOR AND PARINEETI CHOPRA Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra also seem to have been caught up in rivalry because of the fact that they entered the industry together and hence competition takes a toll on their equation. On personal fronts, it was rumored that Parineeti got close to actor Aditya Roy Kapur on the sets of their film Dawaat-e-Ishq. Inspite of the fact that Aditya & Shraddha have never admitted to their alleged romance, the rumours continue to be very strong. SONAM KAPOOR AND DEEPIKA PADUKONE Sonam Kapoor claimed that she has been dragged into a war of words with Deepika Padukone. She said, “I didn’t even mention her name, but as usual, my words were lost in translation”. The actress is reported to have said that she would never publicise her plans to do social service, soon after Deepika announced her plans to support the cause of mental health awareness. “I don’t even know what causes Deepika supports. I respect her, she’s always gracious,” she said to Mirror. Clarifying about the ‘royal snub’ she gave to Deepika at an award function, Sonam said, “I didn’t even know she was at the same function. Seriously, there’s nothing wrong between us, it’s the media which lacks news. Any kind of negativity makes for good copy,” she said. DAVID DHAWAN AND GOVINDA Filmmaker David Dhawan and superstar Govinda have be the favorite Director-Actor Jodi of the masses for years. They have entertained the masses with many blockbusters. Together, the two have created the hit franchise of ‘No.1’ films. However, looks like their relationship has hit the rough patch as the actor doesn’t intend to work with David Dhawan anymore. “No, I don’t want to work with David Dhawan as he didn’t stand by me during my bad patch. I feel when a person thinks that you are not capable of doing his film or working with him, then one should not ask for work, or work with that person if he thinks that you are a liability on him. I think the love between us, that has been there over the years, should remain the same. We should live a healthy life. Currently, he is a proud father and let him be happy. I have nothing to do with his films, nor do I want to discuss films with him,” said Govinda.
