Casting couch has been a popular term used in Bollywood by the elite for compromise. It is a practice that is ongoing since a very long time now. There were many celebs who were asked to sleep with producers for their entry to Bollywood. Top celebs like Shakti Kapoor and Aman Verma were caught in a sting operation asking for sexual favours from newcomers of the big and small screen.
Some actresses have even lost their virginity for their first role. The stories about casting couch continue to haunt many entry level actresses. Well, a few actresses refused to do so and raised their voice to protest, while there are some who agreed on it as a part of their career progress.

- Kangana Ranaut:
The bold and gorgeous, Kangana Ranaut revealed that she was asked by the casting guys to give sexual favour at the audition of Tanu Weds Manu in order to get selected. Kangana proved her skills by her acting in the movie and slapped everyone by her stardom success.
- Rina Golan:
Rina Golan’s accusations came out as a shock when she accused one of the most popular directors and producers, Subhash Ghai for sexual harassment. She said that the director was touching her at a place that made her uncomfortable and was also behaving as per his will to give her the role for his movie. Rina is an Israeli model who wanted to try her luck in Bollywood.
- Kalki Koechlin:
We all know a few films done by Kalki and some to name are; Yeh Jawani hai Deewani, Ek Thi Dayan, Margarita, Shaitan, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The actress had not only revealed about sexual compromise asked by the producers but also took the bold step of revealing her child abuse openly. Kalki said that she somehow managed to escape from the shit.
- Mamta Kulkarni:
Mamta Kulkarni filed accusations against director and producer, Rajkumar Santoshi who asked for casting couch before offering a role to her in his film. Mamta has been in a lot of other controversies even after she left acting. It is sad to digest that people don’t appreciate beauty, rather wish to kill it somehow by breaking the youth talent within.
- Tisca Chopra:
Tisca claimed that she had been subject to many casting couch scenes and considers it normal in Bollywood. She also revealed that the majority of times, it is a highly confidential deal between the artist and the crew who approaches the new star. Usually, producers and directors take this bold act of approaching them for such favours.
- Preeti Jain:
Preeti Jain’s accusations shocked the whole film fraternity when she accused the popular director and producer, Madhur Bhandarkar for raping her number of times. She said he did get physical with her several times in return to a film proposal offered to her.
- Payal Rohatgi:
Payal blamed Dibakar Banerjee who was also her friend. She claimed that he touched her abruptly and stripped her for his sexual desires. She was in a state of shock for a long time for this act by her own close friend.
There are many heart touching incidents that may warn you before entering Bollywood. If you really wish to make a bombastic entry, shut people through your talent and force them to stand up and applaud for you. Many celebs protested against these instead taking a short cut to the films as they were confident about themselves.
