7 Beauty Pageant Winners Who Jeopardized Their Title

Their fame and glory were lost in the blink of an eye! 1) Miss Las Cruces – Sarah J Richardson Sarah, who was used to lighting up the stages with her dazzling smiles, blew the lights out for nearly 1700 homes when she slammed her car into an electricity pole. But here’s the catch: She was drunk! Needless to say, she was reprimanded for bringing shame to the title! 2) Miss USA – Tara Conner Miss. Conner won the title in 2006, only to lose it a couple months later. Her scandalous acts include underage drinking, heavy drug abuse and kissing Miss Teen USA Katie Blair! She was dethroned and was only allowed to retain her title if she agreed to undergo rehabilitation. That was one wild party in the USA! 3) Miss Pennsylvania – Sheena Monnin Now here’s someone who gave up the crown all by herself. Sheena resigned as Miss Pennsylvania 2012, alleging that the Miss Universe Organization was rigging the outcome of the beauty pageant! Kudos to you, Sheena! 4) Miss Sinaola – Laura Zuniga Would you ever suspect that innocent pretty face of smuggling weapons and cash? Laura, who won the title in July 2008, was arrested at a border checkpoint in Mexico in December while riding in a truck with some gang members, heavy weaponry and $53,000! 5) Miss USA – Rima Fakih Rima, who was also a contestant for Miss Universe 2010, was arrested for drunk driving and sentenced to 6 months of probation, 20 hours of community service and a fine of $600! Contrary to popular belief, a pretty face cannot help you get away easily from the cops! 6) Miss Desert Sun – Kumari Fulbright This beauty was charged of some seriously ugly crimes! Kumari was guilty of various crime including kidnapping and multiple assaults with a deadly weapon. Be wary of those pretty smiles. 7) Miss Universe – Ariadna Gutierrez In what was perhaps one of the biggest on-stage blunders of the century, Miss Colombia Araidna Guiterrez was crowned the Miss Universe, only for the $400,000 crown to be taken away from her, a few seconds later! Steve Harvey, who was the host of the evening misread her name as the winner while the actual winner was Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. Needless to say, it was one of the most awkward moments on live TV.
