In the end of Simmba, there was an introduction given to Akshay Kumar as Inspector Sooryavanshi, wherein Ajay Devgn was shown talking to Akshay Kumar and Akshay saying that he will be in soon! This confirmed that Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar will be presenting yet another cop drama with the Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar! While we later heard that Simmba and Singham too shall have roles to play in this cop drama Sooryavanshi, there was no revelation made about the lead actress in the movie! Sharing that Katrina Kaif has joined the cop drama, both Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar posted a photograph featuring the entire Sooryavanshi gang. In the photograph, one can see Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar. While the men of Sooryavanshi are all sporting shades in the photo, Katrina paints a pretty picture in a red floral top and ripped denim. Along with the photo, Karan tweeted, “Welcoming the #Sooryavanshi girl on board, #KatrinaKaif! Releasing on Eid 2020” while Akshay wrote, “Welcome to our COP UNIVERSE #KatrinaKaif…OUR SOORYAVANSHI GIRL.”
