If we speak about Bollywood stardom we can’t miss speaking about Salman Khan who is a class by himself.
Despite Salman having so many controversies on his kitty, still, he is one of the most loved actors of the tinsel town.
Salman Khan’s stardom is such that he can easily and in no time take a movie to the 100 crore club. He might be associated with the biggest projects in Bollywood and many upcoming movies, but still there are films of Salman Khan that never got released due to various reasons.
Let’s take a look at the movies:
After Maine Pyaar Kiya the duo Salman and Bhagyasree became the most popular couple onscreen couple. They were signed together for a second time in the movie Ran Kshetra reportedly.
Eventually, Bhagyashree got married so initially the film got stalled and was finally shelved.
#2.Dil Hai Tumhara:
The 1991 film features Salman Khan, Sunny Deol and Meenakshi Sheshadri in the lead which was decided to direct by Rajkumar Santoshi. Then, unfortunately, Rajkumar Santoshi signed up for another film replacing Shekhar Kapoor as the director of Barsaat, debut film of Bobby Deol. Dil Hai Tumhara, therefore, took a back seat and finally shelved off.
To make up for the lost project that was Dil Hai Tumhara, Salman sign Gherao opposite Manisha Koirala. This film was also scheduled to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi but due to the first schedule of shooting and was shelved soon after the mahurat so the film was stopped.
#4.Aye Mere Dost:
The project starring Arbaaz, Divya Bharti, Karishma Kapoor and Salman Khan started filming as per routine schedule but because of some issues the film was never completed. PThe song was later used for another Salman Khan film, Majhdhar which was released in 1996.
Salman had complete shooting for more than half the film with Somi Ali, but the film never made-up. In that time Salman was busy dating Somi Ali reportedly. While some portions of the shooting for the movie Buland got done, the project got shelved for unknown reasons.
The 1994 film was all set to be Sohail Khan’s directorial debut but the film never came to the floor. The production issues occurred at that time and perhaps it was an over budget movie. Due to a conflict with the production team, the film got delayed and was later shelved. The film starred Salman, Anil Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles.
#7.Chori Mera Naam:
The movie had Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, and Kajol alongside Salman. It created a lot of buzz but was later shelved off after most of the shooting of the film was done. The reasons for calling off the project were rumored that Salman and Sunil used the same stunts for a Thumbs Up commercial which was picturisation for the movie.
One of the most popular projects of Salman Khan which shelved off was the 1997 movie Dus. The film was directed by Mukul S. Anand passed away when the film was on its filming stage and due to this reason the film got shelved.
The cast of the film included Salman, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty. The film never released but the soundtrack “Suno Gaur Se Duniya Waalo”, was released in 1999 which was too popular at that time too.
#9. Raju Raja Ram:
The film starred Salman, Govinda and Jackie Shroff in the lead role and it was being directed by David Dhawan. But the film finally shelved after the production house went into a financial crunch.
#10. Aankh Micholi:
Soon after Judwaa in 1997, Salman was signed up for another Anees Bazmi’s film. In this film also Salman Khan roped to play another double role. But Salman had his reservations about doing dual role only for Judwaa in that time so obviously, Aankh Micholi was dropped.
For the movie Jalwa it was Sanjay, Armaan Kohli and Salman signed together and it was touted as an action flick in 1998. The film was directed by Ketan Dhawan but it was dropped out because of some issues.
#12. Sagar Se Gehra Pyaar:
This Raveena Tandon and Salman Khan was announced but somehow it never got made.
The film starred Sangeeta Bijlani and Nagma but the shooting of the film never started the only announcement of the project done.
#14. No Entry Mein Entry:
After the success of No Entry, the sequel to the film was planned with Salman Khan. Salman was supposed to be playing a double role in the flick but till the announcement of the film, something did not happen.
