Salman Khan has already made headlines with his upcoming movie Tubelight which will be directed by Kabir Khan. As we know this is a cross-border movie set in the backdrop of the city China. A period film which is based on Indo-China war as its setting.
We all had high hopes that Tubelight will be the chosen movie where Deepika Padukone will act opposite Salman Khan. This jodi is on the wishlist of every Salman Khan fan and everyone hoped that this could happen but sadly it isn’t happening so soon.
Deepika Padukone has already signed Padmavati and she has no much time to give to another project. Salman Khan has already reserved the next Eid for Tubelight so there is also a time pressure. So if not Deepika Padukone, then who?
As per a source close to the film, unit revealed to the website Bollywoodlife.com that, “Kabir Khan’s team has already finalised their female lead and it’s not Deepika Padukone. A Chinese actress will be debuting opposite Salman in this film.”
The source also added, “Deepika has already assigned her dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati and it is highly likely that the actress can manage another film considering how particular SLB is about his stars dedication towards his projects.”
So now we finally know that we won’t see any Bollywood actress opposite Salman Khan in Tubelight but a beautiful Chinese actress is surely going to get lucky with this movie.
