VISUALS: Deepika Padukone arrives at NCB office for probe over her drug-chat with manager Karishma Prakash
One of the A-listed actresses of Bollywood Deepika Padukone has just now reportedly reached the Narcotics Control Bureau office for her questioning over an alleged ‘hash’ chat with her talent manager Karishma Prakash. The actress was escorted by police officers given her security and popularity in view. Deepika’s name had cropped up in a drug scandal after NCB accessed an old WhatsApp chat from her manager Karishma where the ‘Padmaavat’ actress was seen specifically asking for ‘Hash’ not ‘weed’. Earlier a shocking report had also suggested, that Deepika along with Rhea Chakraborty’s talent manager Jaya Saha had formed a WhatsApp group named ‘DP-Ka-Kwan’ along with Karishma Prakash, KWAN talent management firm co-founders where Deepika was the admin of this group chat.
Where Deepika’s alleged WhatsApp drug chat between Karishma and her in the group are making rounds, multiple conversations about drugs dated October 2017 were also leaked on the internet. This new set of leaked WhatsApp chats showed Deepika organizing a party for KWAN employees, back in October 2017, where she had issued a ‘pre-drinks’ invitation to all.
Today, as the actress was spotted at NCB office under heavy security and media personnel, While making her way towards the office, Deepika looked at media gathered outside the DRDO guesthouse. Reportedly, the actress will first be quizzed alone and later will be confronted with her manager Karishma over their viral WhatsApp chats about ‘maal’, ‘hash’ and ‘weed.’
To note, Deepika had arrived, on Thursday night, in Mumbai from Goa as she was busy shooting for her upcoming Shakun Batra film with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi when NCB sent her a summon for questioning.
