Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is all set to star in the upcoming flick Badrinath Ki Dulhania alongside Alia Bhatt. He is doing great in his professional life and we are all excited for his next venture. Well, on his personal front, Varun Dhawan is not so happy with Govinda’s controversial statement against him.

It all started when Govinda recently said that, “How can he (Varun) be like me? To become Govinda, he needs to be innocent, uneducated and a poor village boy. Varun is already a son of a director. In the last six years, he hasn’t done more than two films with his father, whereas I did 17 films with his father (David Dhawan).” This statement clearly means that Varan can’t be like Govinda ever in his life. This is not all, Govinda also goes on to say a lot about his father.
Recently, Varun Dhawan was asked about Govinda’s remark, at that time he denied to comment on that. Well, when media lately approached him about the same, he said, “Alochna honi chahiye…Alochan se mein bahut kuch seekhta hoon. Woh kehte hai mujhme aur unmei koi samantaye nahi hai. Yeh sahi hai. Kisi mein samantayein ho bhi nahi sakti. Woh varisht hai, mein unka samman karta hoon. Mein unki barabari kabhi nahi kar sakta.” (There should be criticism. I learn a lot from criticism. He says there is no similarity between him and me which is right. There cannot be similarities. He is a senior actor and I respect him. I will never be able to match up to him.)
This is not all, Varun Dhawan also goes on to say, “Govinda sir has spoilt my dad. As an actor, he has set such high standards that it is extremely difficult to reach up to that level. After having worked with him in numerous blockbusters, my dad kept expecting the same perfection and madness that Govinda ji used to bring to his performances and dance moves. He is a living legend of our industry and nobody can be like him.”
Overall, he first ignored the questions related to Govinda but now he has flowered respect for Govinda as an actor. We just wish that Varun and Govinda must work together!
