Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t need any introduction, his name is more than enough. Today is King Khan’s birthday, as he turns 52. But as they say, age is just a number, it fits Shah Rukh to the core. Shah Rukh is an open book, everything about him is covered by media extensively. He has achieved everything with his passion and hard work.

1. Initially, Shah Rukh Khan was named Abdul Rehman by his maternal grandmother, but his father changed his name to Shahrukh Khan later. His name was inspired by his sister’s name ‘Lalarukh’. Now king Khan writes his name as Shah Rukh Khan. King Khan feels lucky that his father changed his name. he thinks that Abdul Rehman would have never suited a film star.
2. Shah Rukh Khan was a very naughty kid in his school. He was very weak in Hindi. He loved watching cinema since the childhood. In order to make SRK study Hindi with full concentration, his mother promised him to take him for a film if he passes his Hindi exam. Shah Rukh was so passionate and crazy about films that he got top grades in Hindi from there onwards.

7. Shah Rukh even sold tickets for his film ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ at a cinema hall in Mumbai on its opening day. Yes, you read it right! King Khan has left no stone unturned to make a name in showbiz business. SRK decided to sell the tickets of Kundan Shah directed ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ in order to attract as much crowd as he can. The actor was paid Rs. 25,000 for that film.
8. Shah Rukh Khan got the offer of Darr when he was watching Yash Chopra’s ‘Lamhe’ in the theater. Shah Rukh was destined to play his iconic character in Darr. When the movie was offered to him, he was watching Lamhe with his friend Viveck Vaswani in the theater. In the middle of the film, his secretary came to inform him that Mr. Chopra was looking to cast him in his next film. Without wasting any time, SRK went to Yash Chopra’s office. 9. Shah Rukh Khan loves his crew member a lot. He even rejected a film with a big banner, as they wanted to replace his makeup man. SRK respects everyone, who has helped him in becoming what he is now. The actor was offered a film with the big banner but they wanted to replace his makeup man. King Khan rejected the film, as he considers his makeup man Ravi Dada as a family. He has immense respect for Ravi Dada, Subhash, Yaseem, Karuna, and Mohan.
