After Udta Punjab, Another Anurag Kashyap Movie In Censor Trouble!
Pahlaj Nihalani-led Censor Board has refused to certify the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer on the grounds that ‘it shows the education department in bad light.’ It has also stated that the illicit relationship between a teacher and a young student is not acceptable in Indian society.
According to reports in a leading daily, the board has also raised objection over vulgar dialogues spoken by the students, their body gestures and bold scenes in ‘Haramkhor’. The makers are now planning to approach the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT).
Helmed by Shlok Sharma, ‘Haramkhor’ is being co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. Nawazuddin Siddiqui has also won the Best Actor award for the film at the New York Indian Film Festival.
