The FTII product got his first break in 2010 when he was cast in Love Sex aur Dhokha, after responding to an ad that mentioned Dibakar Banerjee was looking for newcomer.He then went on to play significant roles in Shaitan, Gangs of Wasseypur, Kai Po Che, Talaash, Queen and Shahid for which he won the National award.
